On Saturday, nine of our U10 footballers turned out at Reigate St.Mary’s to tackle the best of the local independents.

The boys had a tough start against a talented Micklefield team despite a blistering fast goal from Hunter. They battled out a draw against Caterham and narrowly lost against Reigate St Mary’s to put them in the plate semi final.

Stepping out against Chinthurst, they had many chances narrowly missed and held out to a 0-0 draw. The boys showed great unity and team spirit in the penalty shootout, winning it 4-3 thanks to a great save by Arthur.

The plate final put them against a strong Hawthorns team and the boys worked their hardest all morning, pulling out an early 1-0 lead. The defence held strong and despite the heat, they kept their cool to hold out for the win.

Congratulations to all the boys who represented our school and also many thanks to the parents who came out to support. A very proud morning for BPS!
