The early years centre is where the educational journey begins for children at Banstead Prep. Our youngest children fully embrace the freedom of independent learning through play within the structure of the school day.
Pre-school learning takes place in classrooms equipped specifically for early education and following our future focussed curriculum, developed in partnership with Kingston University and designed to spark curiosity, support child led learning and develop future skills.
Each class is led by a qualified Early Years teacher and supported by Early Years Practitioners providing bespoke support, stretch and challenge for each individual learner. The children also benefit from the full range of subject specialist teaching and facilities for which Banstead Prep is renowned, and the core timetable includes PE, Music, Languages, STEM and Outdoor Learning.
Our main entry point is into the preschool for children who are three years old at the beginning of the academic year. Places are available for up to two classes of up to 16 children in the preschool, with a small number of accelerated entry places available for children to join the Nursery at the beginning of the term after they turn 2 years old.
Children are well prepared for their next educational challenge, ready for Reception and the exciting prep school education beyond.
