Banstead Prep School children turned out in force to represent the school in the Banstead Village May Fayre on Saturday, carrying the BPS flag in the parade as well as a rousing performance from the school choir, entertaining the crowds with songs from the era of World War II, in support of the VE Day celebration theme.

This is the first time the event has been held since 2019, because of the pandemic, and the first time that BPS has been part of the parade and involved in performances by local school children.  Jon Chesworth, Headteacher was delighted that the children could be a part of this local community event.

“We are really proud to be part of the Banstead Village Community.  Supporting local events, businesses, organisations and people is closely aligned with our core values and provides opportunities for the children to learn the importance of making a difference and being valued and valuable members of society who celebrate together.  Thank you to all of the families to supported our contribution to this event.”
