Mrs Lane was delighted to be able to take some of our young musicians to Woldingham School on Tuesday 1 March. They played alongside the prestigious London Mozart Players in an incredible, uplifting performance and really did us proud. It was so wonderful for the children to experience music in this way, to develop their ensemble skills and take part in such a memorable and inspiring event.
Isla in Year 6 described the day:
“We arrived at 1pm and were greeted in the music department. We took out our instruments and were shown into the massive auditorium! We practised ‘Press Play’ with the famous composer, Jeff Moore. There were seven other schools. We had a break and watched The Incredibles, then we went down to the Marden to have early dinner. Pizza and ice cream! Some of the soloists were amazing! It was the big finale, 332 bars. My mum couldn’t stop playing it when we got home!”
