As part of their leavers’ programme, Year 6 have been learning all about money and gaining valuable skills to manage their financial futures.

The workshop’s mission was to grow £500 individually by visiting game stations. The children had to think about risks and rewards and make sensible decisions to build up their savings. If they took big risks and lost their money, they could ask for a loan from a friend. The children have also learnt some financial literacy e.g terms such as compound interest.

The interactive sessions made the children think about the value of money and provided a fun learning experience. Thank you to Mrs Cooper and St James’s Place for running the workshop.
