Reception went on a trip to Gatton Park as part of their topic ‘Scientists’.
In the morning they explored the pond areas, looking for different pond creatures and talking about the different plants they could see growing in and around the pond. The afternoon was filled with exciting minibeast activities, including pollinating flowers with bees and searching for minibeasts living in the long grass with sweeping nets.
The children had a wonderful day and were absolute superstars, making all the Reception teachers very proud!
