Year 1 had a fantastic time at Bocketts Farm accompanied by Mr Chesworth, our Headteacher.

The children spent the morning with two farmers and travelled around on a a tractor. They spotted many different animals and learnt some amazing facts. They were able to find out how many lambs each ewe was expecting by learning what the different coloured spots on their fleeces represented. The children then went for a walk around the farm, feeding different animals, which reinforced their learning about herbivores, omnivores and carnivores. They were excited to be able to pet so many animals, large and small.

Miss Law, our Year 1 Teacher said

“The children were so well behaved and represented the school amazingly showing their kind, caring and polite manners to the public.”

In the afternoon the children enjoyed a well deserved play in the amazing adventure playground at Bocketts Farm.
