Although the weather wasn’t on our side, Reception children put on a smile and had a wonderful Teddy Bears’ Picnic at Banstead Park. Their current topic is Fairytales and they have been reading ‘Goldilocks and the Three Bears’ this week, which is why they decided to go on a Teddy Bears’ Picnic.
The children walked from the school to the park, which provided a great opportunity to practice road safety. After they arrived at the park they enjoyed their well-deserved sandwiches that they had made themselves. They designed their sandwich first by drawing a picture and writing a list of what they would need and then created their own sandwiches. The children also participated in some fun activities to help build their listening skills. They worked in teams and followed instructions brilliantly. We were so pleased to see the children being out and about again and looking forward to more trips in the summer term.
