Congratulations to Thomas in Year 3 and Jessica in Year 6 who participated at the Coulsdon and Purley Festival and achieved fantastic results.
The Coulsdon and Purley Festival provided an opportunity to encourage music performances for all ages. This year the 77th festival ran virtually and the children had to submit their entries online. Participants had exclusive online access to the festival weekend via a livestream broadcast and received feedback via interactive sessions. Winners will receive written feedback and certificates by email.
Thomas won 1st prize in the closed class for girls or boys 10 years and under category. He sang ‘The Crocodile’ by Peter Jenkyns.
Jessica won joint 1st prize in the under 12 woodwind section performing ‘Troika’ by Prokofiev.
