In pride of place in the reception area of the main school building is a new plaque, commemorating the achievements of Banstead Prep School staff this year in keeping the school open throughout the national lockdown for children whose parents, as keyworkers, were providing a vital contribution to the national effort to manage the pandemic.

In recognition of all the dedicated staff at BPS
who cared for our children during the

Covid-19 pandemic of 2020

THANK YOU

from all of the parents of the
key-worker children

June 2020

You can see the plaque pictured here with Mrs Nunn, Deputy Head, and Mr Gibb, Headteacher, and with Miss Hockham, Miss Jones and Mr Cody, some of the ten staff who worked through the holidays to provide key worker places for the children who needed them.

Mr Gibb said: “This is a fitting tribute to the commitment of our teachers and teaching assistants, who supported these families through such a difficult time.  We are proud to have done our bit to ensure that other key workers could provide vital services during the pandemic.

Mrs Nunn added “A huge ‘Thank you’ to the parents who have arranged this plaque, we are all really touched by this thoughtful gesture.”
