Isla, in Year 5, has had almost 10 inches of her hair and donated it to the Little Princess Trust, which provides real hair wigs to children and young people that have lost their own hair because of cancer treatment or other illnesses.
Many of us have been impacted in some way by cancer, and Isla was inspired to help others through her own family’s experience.  She had been considering cutting her hair for the charity for quite some time, and an unexpected positive effect of lockdown, and hairdressers being closed, was that her hair grew long enough to finally go for it.
We are so proud of Isla for demonstrating our school values of compassion and courage with her decision to donate her hair to such a wonderful good cause.  Well done Isla!
