Our Celebration Assembly today was the opportunity for the whole school to say goodbye and good luck to Miss Ellis before she embarks on a short career break, prior to taking up her next role as Headteacher at The Study School in Wimbledon in September.

As the children came into the hall, a photo slideshow of Miss Ellis was on display, showing some of the highlights of her time at BPS, including the opening ceremony, our Royal Wedding celebrations and the opening of the new Sports pavilion, as well as many pictures of Miss Ellis around school with the children.  Instead of our usual Star of the Week certificates for a child in each class, this time each class awarded Miss Ellis a Star of the Week award, recognising her for successfully creating a school where learning is fun and, aptly, for being good at travelling in the holidays!

The children also presented special plates and bowls that have been signed by every child in the school, and a book containing fingerprint art representations of every pupil.  Finally, the youngest and oldest children in the school, Anabia and Amelie, presented Miss Ellis with a BPS Founders and Leavers badge.

We will miss you Miss Ellis, but we wish you all the very best for the future.
