Banstead Prep is delighted to hear that Banstead Village in Bloom (BVIB) was, this year, awarded a gold by Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) judges. The children at BPS contributed towards BVIB efforts through a decorated bicycle as well as our wheelbarrow situated by the war memorial at the end of Banstead High Street.

During the summer term, Year 6 used their creative skills to construct and paint flowers by upcycling plastic bottles to create a floriferous bicycle. They then planted a purple, green and yellow scheme of perennials and annual flowers which has bloomed beautifully  in our wheelbarrow throughout the summer months. Well done to all!
