At the start of our third year at Banstead Prep School, we celebrated in what has become the traditional way, by sharing four huge birthday cakes between the children and staff.

In assembly, Miss Ellis looked back on our very first day at BPS, when we raised the BPS flag, planted our founding trees and cut the first of our birthday cakes.  We also remembered our first birthday, last September, and sang Happy Birthday to our school.

There was a special welcome for new staff and the 36 children who have joined BPS at the start of the new academic year, not only into Nursery and Reception, but also into Year 1, 3 and 4.

There were other changes to note, as the school has opened this year with a new extended dining hall to accommodate growing numbers of children, and looking forward to the official opening of the sports changing facilities alongside the all weather pitch.
