Year 5 spent their history lesson this week on a guided walk of Banstead,  to find out what the village looked like 100 years ago.  Two volunteers from the Banstead History Research Group led the tour, enlightening the children with information about and photographs of the past.  The children found out that All Saints Church is 800 years old, that Zizzi used to be a hotel, that most of Banstead was farm land and that the original primary school was on the current Waitrose site.
