What a fantastic IAPS Swimming Gala debut for BPS, at Royal Russell School, with courageous performances from all members of the U10 swim teams against swimmers from Colfe, Rowan and Royal Russell Schools.

A little apprehensive at first (see ‘before’ picture below!) they channelled this tenaciously and gave 100% effort. They all swam an individual 25m race and also in both the Medley and Freestyle relays.

Although this event is all about the fastest times achieved across the country it was great to see Alex swimming up an age group and still winning his individual breaststroke race.  The boys swam with determination in their medley relay in a closely contested race whilst our girls team dug deep to clinch a win in the freestyle relay in our last event of the day. It was very exciting and a great atmosphere and our swimmers all went home happy but exhausted! We look forward to finding out the times they have achieved in April.

We are very proud of them all!
