This week at our school has been nothing short of remarkable, with so many events evoking our learner power of the week – Pride. From the youngest learners in Reception to our talented choir, the children have shown exceptional growth, confidence, and passion, reminding us all of the incredible potential within our school community. Here’s a roundup of the performances that filled us with pride:
Reception wowed us with their outstanding performance of the Wriggly Nativity. The children’s confidence was truly something to behold – each one delivered their lines with clarity and enthusiasm. They remembered their parts, fully took on their roles, and brought the festive story to life in a way that made us all believe in the magic of Christmas. It’s clear that these young stars have a bright future ahead, and we can’t wait to see how their confidence and talents grow in the years to come.
Next, Nursery and Pre-school took us on a festive journey with their performance of Christmas songs. Their voices rang through the hall, and their energy and joy were infectious. One of the audience joked that their performance was so charming, it could make Scrooge crack a smile! Watching these little ones sing with such delight was a beautiful reminder of how pride can stem from the simplest of moments.
Our school choir took their talents beyond the classroom, performing at the Banstead Community Centre. The group showcased their instrumental and vocal abilities to an audience of local residents, leaving everyone in awe of their skill and maturity. One attendee commented on how incredible the choir was for their age, and we couldn’t agree more. Their performance exemplified pride in their craft, and it was clear that these students are capable of achieving great things.
What stood out most this week was the way our children, in all year groups, continually rise to the challenge. From memorising lines to singing in front of an audience, these children show us time and time again what pride in their school, their friends, and their talents looks like. They are not only growing in skill but also in the confidence to stand up, perform, and inspire us all.
We are incredibly proud of each and every one of our children for their dedication, courage, and talent. It’s a privilege to watch them grow, and we are filled with excitement to see what they will achieve next.
