Our vision is to be a school that challenges, develops and nurtures every child, where every child is free to be themselves. We constantly strive to change and to improve, to deliver a modern education that prepares our children for an exciting future, encouraging them to aim high and dream big.
The Life Skills curriculum at Banstead Prep provides children with an opportunity to practise and develop important, transferable life skills. These directly relate to the BPS Learner Powers: Collaboration, Leadership, Independence, Curiosity, Adaptability, Communication, Resilience, and Pride. Through a carefully curated range of exciting lessons and activities, children in Years 3 – 6 develop their ‘learner powers’; these include but are not limited to, design challenges, critical thinking activities, debates, money skills, first aid, and cookery.
Nursery and Pre-school had such a fun time at their visit from @littlecitysouthwestlondon today ‘being’ grown ups: where nothing is off limits, they can be the hairdresser, the firefighter, the builder, the café owner and much, much more!
At Banstead Prep we create a learning environment that facilitates a play-based approach in age-appropriate ways that foster a love for discovery and exploration. Little City is the perfect example of this in action!
On our way home - the children are enjoying the Deutsche Bahn train. We’ve just crossed the German/Belgian border on our way to Brussels before connecting to the Eurostar back to London. It’s been an incredible trip! 😀👍🏻🚂 ... See MoreSee Less
We loved welcoming children who are joining our Reception class in September into school today for a fun afternoon with current pre-school children.
It was a great opportunity to meet our Reception teachers and play some games together, followed by an ice lolly - a welcome treat on such a warm and sunny afternoon ☀️
Showcasing the school on a normal working day. You may book at 9.15am for a tour before the Headteacher’s welcome, or arrive at 10.00am and take your tour after the presentation.
