Our vision is to be a school that challenges, develops and nurtures every child, where every child is free to be themselves. We constantly strive to change and to improve, to deliver a modern education that prepares our children for an exciting future, encouraging them to aim high and dream big.
The Life Skills curriculum at Banstead Prep provides children with an opportunity to practise and develop important, transferable life skills. These directly relate to the BPS Learner Powers: Collaboration, Leadership, Independence, Curiosity, Adaptability, Communication, Resilience, and Pride. Through a carefully curated range of exciting lessons and activities, children in Years 3 – 6 develop their ‘learner powers’; these include but are not limited to, design challenges, critical thinking activities, debates, money skills, first aid, and cookery.
Yesterday, we enjoyed a fantastic Move Up Morning across the school!
There was plenty of excitement as the children discovered who their teacher will be next year and which classmates they will be sharing their new classroom with. From Nursery right through to our new Year 6 pupils, everyone spent time getting to know their new class, taking part in fun team-building activities and building new friendships.
It was also a pleasure to welcome the children who will be joining our school community in September. We loved seeing them settle in, meet their new classmates and experience life at BPS.
The countdown is on as our talented Year 5 and Year 6 pupils prepare to take to the stage for Shrek Jr. The Musical! 💚
Packed with laughter, music and plenty of fairy-tale fun, it's set to be a fantastic show. We can't wait to see all their hard work come to life next week.
