This festive season, we are proud to continue our support of the local charity Stripey Stork by taking part in their much-loved Santa Stork campaign.
Stripey Stork supports families across our local community, helping to ensure children have access to essential items and, at Christmas, the joy of receiving a gift. As part of the campaign, our school community came together to donate brand new toys and gifts, along with chocolate coins to add a special festive treat for the children.
Following this, families also generously supported a second-hand donation collection, providing high-quality pre-loved items to help meet the ongoing needs of families supported by Stripey Stork.
The response from our families was nothing short of amazing.
Stripey Stork shared the following message with us after receiving the donations:
“Thank you all so very much for your wonderful contribution to our Santa Stork campaign. The amazing selection of beautiful toys, books, games and other fantastic gifts that your school community donated blew us away with your generosity. We couldn’t believe how in just a couple of weeks you managed to collect such a lot of wonderful presents. The gifts will make such a difference to the children who receive them.”
They also highlighted just how vital this support is:
“For many of the children we support, the gift they receive from us is the only one they will open on Christmas morning. This year we have already received requests for over 4,500 children, and the numbers continue to rise. The contribution from your school will help us keep our promise that every child referred to us receives a gift chosen just for them.”
We are incredibly grateful to our families for their kindness and generosity. Your support helps Stripey Stork bring comfort, dignity and joy to local families — especially at such an important time of year.
