Flautist Hannah Black, enjoys a busy career freelancing with several UK orchestras, chamber ensembles and teaching. She has performed with The Phiharmonia, The Proms Festival Orchestra, The Hallé, English Symphony Orchestra and London Mozart Players, amongst others. Hannah trained at the Royal Northern College of Music and later the Royal Academy of Music where she won several awards including the Royal Academy of Music’s Irene Burcher Award for the highest mark in a woodwind Final Recital. Recent orchestral highlights include performing at the BBC Proms 2021 with The Proms Festival Orchestra (made up entirely of freelance musicians) and at Nevill Holt Opera with Shadwell:Ensemble. Orchestral tours have taken her to Elbphilharmonie, Hamburg; Palau de la Música Catalana, Barcelona; Auditorio Nacional, Madrid; Grosser Musikvereinssaal, Vienna and Mariinsky Concert Hall, St Petersburg
