Ceri read History at Cambridge and has been Headmaster at Caterham School since 2015, one of the top performing co-educational schools in the country. Before he joined Caterham Ceri was Second Master at Tonbridge School in Kent and also the Principal of The Marsh Academy, a large non-selective academy on the Romney Marshes. In 2015 he was awarded a Distinction by the University of Buckingham for his Masters in Educational Leadership and, in the same year, he co-founded an educational charity, the Accelerate and Access Foundation. This charity supports bright pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds to apply to top ranking universities and is based on a model of collaboration between state schools, independent schools and universities that is unique in the UK.
He is a keen sportsman and played football for Cambridge He still teaches A level history and specialised in the American Civil and Early Modern Witchcraft.
