Thank you to those parents who attended our first SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disability) coffee morning.

For those who missed it, we looked at the provision of SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disability) support at Banstead Prep whilst we ate pastries and drank coffee!  We also heard from Mrs Oakley our SALT (Speech and Language therapist) about the complex ways that children communicate and understand language.  The event was held in our Learning Support classroom (pictured).

The additional needs of some of our children may not seem severe but can impact on their academic progress, self-esteem and other areas of their school life.  Our objective is to support all of the children to help them achieve their best and be happy at BPS.  Working together with parents is critical to achieving this.

We intend to make this a termly event, and invite speakers on specific topics that may be of interest, so do let us know if there is an area of SEND that you would like to learn more about.  Current parents who would like a copy of the presenation from this event can contact the School Office office@bansteadprep.com for a copy.

If you are looking for a school for your child and would like to know more about the provision of SEND support at Banstead Prep, please contact our admissions department on 01737 363600 or admissions@bansteadprep.com
