John Abbott, Deputy Head

John is passionate about prep school education, pupil welfare and working alongside other dedicated teachers. Taking responsibility for the day-to-day running of the school, pastoral care, extra-curricular clubs, school trips and whole-school events, he also has a wealth of experience in the classroom, primarily with Key Stage 2 (Years 3 - 6) in preparation for 11+ examinations.

"As anyone who visits us knows, BPS is a wonderfully welcoming school with the very highest of standards and a commitment for all children to be the very best they can. Whether using their imagination in the classroom, cavorting around the dance studio, enjoying a new sport on our all-weather pitch or trying out an exciting activity from our broad extra-curricular programme, children are constantly learning about both their own potential and the world around them."

Sarah Nunn, Head of Pre-Prep

Sarah has taught all age groups at primary level and has been a maths consultant for Surrey County Council. She is keen to enrich learning and encourage children to be independent learners. Sarah believes that enhancing hands on positive experiences will encourage children to be the best they can be. She is not afraid of a challenge and has completed the London Marathon twice and The Prudential Ride 100.

“Fundamentally, my belief is that all children deserve the best opportunities we can give them to ignite their excitement to learn and support them as they start to develop their learning styles and preferences. Happy children learn best.”

Jason Ford, Assistant Head (Academic)

Jason has considerable experience in all areas of teaching and learning, both in academics and in sport, with vast experience of teaching English for 11+ preparation.
